Kalshi trading bots
Kalshi trading bots are programs that read Kalshi markets and place orders through Kalshi's official Trade API. This page compares the 21 public, open-source Kalshi bots in our directory (7 arbitrage, 5 forecasting agents, 4 news & event trading, 3 market making, 2 copy trading & alerts).
The short answer: start from a bot whose strategy type matches yours, run it against Kalshi's demo environment first, and treat Kalshi's own docs as the source of truth. Kalshi says its SDKs "may lag the API" and recommends its OpenAPI spec for production. Most listed bots are written in Python; a few use Rust, TypeScript or JavaScript.
One thing to know before you build: in the Becker Kalshi dataset, 87.9% of 7,682,445 Kalshi markets never traded. A bot that scans everything will mostly find empty books, so filter for volume first (State of Kalshi).

- Market data: public endpoints need no API key (Kalshi: Quick Start, Market Data ↗).
- Trading: an API key and signed requests; request budgets depend on your usage tier (Kalshi: Rate Limits and Tiers ↗).
- Testing: a demo account with mock funds and separate credentials (Kalshi: Demo environment ↗).
- Fees: taker fees follow round up(0.07 × C × P × (1 − P)) on most markets; some series also charge maker fees (Kalshi fee schedule (PDF) ↗).
